Coyote Explains...Love So Unexpected by Marquita Valentine...My Review

Love So Unexpected

(The Lawson Brothers #6)

My Review:

Loved all the Lawson Brothers books, but always had a thing for Caleb! He was in the background of the other books and I learned things about him here and there, which over time, made me loved him! I'm not saying what or why, due to spoilers for those who haven't read any of the Lawson Brothers Series. Caleb & Sofia's connection was made of fate and of chemistry like no other! I highly recommend this book, this series & this author! Marquita is an amazing author!

I give this book 5 stars-

Description-

Book 6 in the bestselling contemporary romance series The Lawson Brothers.
Widower Caleb Lawson has resigned himself to a life of farming and family functions. He never expects to find another love like he had with his wife, much less remarry. But once his mother brings home Sofia Nogales to help her get back on her feet, he starts to reconsider his expectations. Sofia is beautiful, witty, and so full of life that his arms ache to hold her.
Determined to make a new life for herself, former head chef Sofia Nogales hopped on the first bus to the east coast and refused to look back. However, she never dreamed a series of bad events would have her end up in Jessamine, North Carolina as the guest of Dinah Lawson. Nor did she ever dream of meeting someone like Dinah’s son Caleb—the sexy farmer, who keeps everything to himself… except the heated look in his eyes.
But when the opportunity comes knocking—to the tune of cooking at an already established and popular restaurant two states away, will Caleb be able to convince her to stay?

Coyote Explains...Gaia by Monica La Porta...My Review

Gaia (Worlds Apart Book 1)

My Review:
Dreams really do come true for those who wait! This is especially true for Gaia & Elios, but also the author, Monica La Porta! The author has been writing this book for awhile, and I'm so glad she did and took her time, because this story was amazing! As for the characters, they've been waiting for their chance and overcoming obstacles to be together. But coming from different planets, can true love prevail?
Elios (Worlds Apart Book 2) is a companion novel. It is told in Elios' POV. The books could be read in either order.
I read Gaia first & gave it 5 Stars!

 Description:
While vacationing in Greece, Gaia locks eyes with a stranger, twice. Two years later, back in Rome, she should be enjoying college life; instead, the memories of his lapis lazuli eyes and Mona Lisa smile still haunt her. Gaia longs to meet him again and unwittingly sabotages her romantic life by refusing to move on. Only her anthropological studies about the mysterious Etruscans make her feel alive. A chance to breathe new air is presented to her when she wins a full scholarship to study abroad at the University of Washington. In rainy Seattle, Gaia finally meets the man of her dreams, but he proves to be... otherworldly. Meanwhile, in her field of studies, what starts as an interesting archeological finding about a six-fingered human image, soon evolves into the discovery of the millennium, but not where Earth is concerned. Although Gaia is a companion novel of Elios, you can read these in either order. They are both stand-alone stories from different points of view. You met Gaia and Elios in his book; now hear her story.
About the Author:

Monica La Porta

Monica La Porta landed in Seattle several years ago. Despite popular feelings about the Northwest weather, she finds the mist and the rain the perfect conditions to write. Being a strong advocate of universal acceptance and against violence in any form and shape, she is also glad to have landed precisely in Washington State. She is the author of The Ginecean Chronicles, a dystopian/science fiction series set on the planet Ginecea where women rule over a race of enslaved men and heterosexual love is considered a sin. She also published two other series: the futuristic love story across the universe, Elios & Gaia, narrated in two books; and the paranormal romance/urban fantasy series The Immortals set in Rome. Stop by her blog to read about her miniatures, sculptures, paintings, and her beloved beagle, Nero. Sometimes, she also posts about her writing.

Coyote Explains...Offered to the Werewolves by Crystal L Shaw...My Review

 Inline image

My Review:

This book is full of surprises! I loved the characters and how different their personalities are. I can't wait for the next part to come out to see how it ends! Devin & Arianna are an amazing couple and I love how she stands up to him. Dom may seem scary, but he's a big softy when it comes to Lizie. Caleb may seem like a softy, but he has dark desires. Lizie...well...we'll find out...in the continuation to the series Taken by the Werewolves, coming soon. I can't wait!
DESCRIPTION: Every year Shadow Falls offers its young women to the werewolf shifters in exchange for the town's protection -- there is no refusal.

This is the collection of installments I-V of Offered to the Werewolves, Shifters of Shadow Falls.

Ariana and her best friend, Lizie, must attend the offering. It’s law; they have no choice. Once you’re offered, you can’t refuse if they choose you. What they didn't expect was to be taken.
Ariana's dominant nature poses a threat to the Alpha's need for obedience. Devin, the Alpha, struggles with a way to maintain his mate's strong-willed spirit that he loves so much, while also having her on her knees for him.
Lizie greatest fear comes to realization once she's taken. Her tormented past with vicious werewolves leaves her heart closed off to her two mates, Caleb and Dom.
Fear blinds her to their intentions, but they aren't willing to let her scarred past destroy their future before it even begins.

Warning: This book contains strong language, violence, and sexual situations that some readers find offensive.

BE SURE TO PICK UP TAKEN BY THE WEREWOLVES AVAILABLE 2/29/16!

About The Author:

I've always loved reading and writing. If I pick up a book there's a good chance that I won't be able to put it down until I'm finished. Often I wondered what happened after the story ended? I'd develop elaborate stories of the characters and let my mind run away with it. Sometimes I'd write the stories down for my own guilty pleasure. Although it's been a passion and hobby of mine for years, I didn't pursue it publicly until just recently.

I obsessed over Color Her Red for months; it kept me up late at night and dragged me out of bed in the morning. I'm very proud of my first novel and I absolutely love the sequel, Color Her Punished. It took quite a while for me to work through Thomas and Emma's difficult journey, but it was worth it all for that happily ever after in the end.

I'm currently pursuing new projects that are a bit more light hearted, but still filled with that angst and sexual tension I love writing.

I'm finally pursuing my passion and I've decided to share it with the world. I hope you enjoy it!
