"Nothing Else Matters"
First things first, I've never heard of SD until recently. I did not know of him at all, when I got this. I have purchased this book by pre-ordering & I bought the audiobook when it went live. This will be one that I will re-read! I can't wait for the next one, whether it's more about these two main characters or the secondary characters, maybe the best friends of the main characters?! I actually hope there's one more about these two & then go onto other characters, but it's just my own preference. Of course, that depends on how Book #2 would go. Doesn't really matter, this Book #1 doesn't really end on a cliffhanger. It can be a standalone. Again, there are my thoughts & preferences! No matter what, I hope that I get an opportunity to work with him again! Secondly, when you buy this book and you sit down to read it, make sure you have no plans because you are not going anywhere until you are finished! I will guarantee you of that! If you want an escape and a book that feels real, in a mafia/gun runner scenario, this book pulls you in and has you turning the pages until there's no pages left! This is fast paced & hot as hell.... You will need a fan, cold shower, a significant other/spouse/booty call or something. The scenes are that hot! Maybe read it with them? I know I'm going to! Now, let's move onto the book, which is told in a 2 POV (I have to admit, I love to read a book told from both sides) Michael Tripp is an ex-Marine, gun runner, hot as sin, alpha male, who takes sh*t from no one. Except maybe his best friend, Caps (who I love & hope he gets his own book). He was trying to keep his business under the radar of the local Italian mafia in Kansas City. He doesn't want to work with them, doesn't want to answer to anyone, and then he comes upon a buffoon and woman arguing. Enter the beautiful, sassy, feisty, mafia princess, Terra. Who isn't as sweet as she seemed when Tripp came upon them. She kicks the buffoon's nads a few times (her ex of 6 months, who didn't get the hint of EX). Her confidant/bestie is Michelle (wouldn't mind her getting a book with Caps). Tripp & Terra end up becoming friends with some banter & that turns into some erotic scenes! With so many lies, including what they do for a living or who they are, is there no turning back for Tripp or Terra? Action, drama, humor, holy hotness, emotions, wants vs needs, lust vs love, romance, suspense, gritty, and so much more.... I want so much more! Is there any way to save themselves & their relationship if/when the truth comes out?Sorry, no spoilers from me! I bought the book & I bought the audiobook...I didn't have to! This book is a must read! Go grab this book! Again, you will not regret it!
