My Review
Intensely Hot!
This is a not a standalone, but is the second book in this series. It ends with another doozy of a cliffhanger! Before that, let's go back to what happens in this book, without giving spoilers! Kane knows who Anika really is and makes an offer. After two decades of being on the run, Anika and her father's luck have run out. She has to turn to Kane to protect her father and herself. Kane always gets what he wants anyways, and Kane wants Anika. The offer of being his in every way possible for the next 6 months, is terrifying and exciting. Except she will do anything to keep her father safe, which in my eyes, family always comes first, so I loved that! (That felt real because I would do anything for my family). Until she realizes that all is not as it seems, or what she signed up for. Kane knew it wouldn't, but how would Anika take these new changes? Get ready for a cold shower with these intensely hot steamy scenes and emotions all over for the characters and yourself. If you love mafia romances, you will want to read this! It's not your typical type! It still has the drama, romance, hotness, banter, humor, and much more! No spoilers here, sorry!
